“Got R Done” On Ray Hubbard

Saturday July 22, 2006 – Rockwall Texas…… THE TRITON/CHRISTIAN ANGLERS BASS ASSOCIATIONS’ July on Ray Hubbard greeted the participating anglers with clear skies, a light northerly breeze and rain in the forecast.  Until mid-day the weather condition were GREAT for July in Texas, but as is usually the case, the skies cleared, the sun returned and the temps went up!  Still, the weather conditions a lot better than it had been.

 The team of Morris & Walker eased to victory with a 5 fish limit of Hubbard bass weighing in @ 19.54 lbs.  They produced their winning stringer by throwing crankbaits in a variety of shallow cover.  With another Hubbard event in August, that’s all the infor I could get out of them!  Great job guys and enjoy your $2000.00 winnings!

 Rounding out the top 5 teams were Edwards & Williams in 2nd place with another limit weighing 17.17 lbs.  They also took home big bass honors with a nice Hubbard bass weighing 6.81 lbs.  Kilmer & Taylor took 3rd place with 11.76 lbs.  4th place went to Conover & Heaussler with a weight of 11.07 lbs. and 5th place went to the team of Swindall & Young with 11.05 lbs.

 Our July ministry of the month is Life Challenge.  During this event C.A.B.A. raised $400.00 for L/C.  We look forward to giving more at our Roadrunner division event on Tawakoni July 29. Come join us if you can!

 The 10% retained from our monthly entry fees in used to support various charities throughout each tournament season.  It’s this cause that separates C.A.B.A. from all other tournament circuits!  This is our reason for being.  So remember, as your team participates in any C.A.B.A. monthly event you are helping us make life a little better for those less fortunate.  Also remember that 10% of all entry fees (both monthly & weekly) and your membership fee is tax deductible.

 Our “Early Entry” bonus drawing winners for this event was the team of Baumann & Pine.  By sending in their entry fee early they were entered into our “Early Entry” bonus drawing and by winning the drawing, had their choice of $100.00 cash or their entry fee paid for the following event in the Hubbard/Tawakoni division.  They chose the entry which is a $150.00 value.  At least one member of each team that has entered the bonus drawing must be present to win.  If the team that wins is not present, then we will draw until we have a winner.

 The 2006 membership drive is underway and the member that is responsible for the most new members to join C.A.B.A. will receive some great prizes that will be awarded at our ’06 CHAMPIONSHIP.  We will have 4 membership drive winners, 1 from each of our qualifying division, so get busy guys!  It’s through our members sharing the news and vision of C.A.B.A. that this ministry outreach grows, so please continue to spread the word!

 The Hubbard/Tawakoni division will have two events in August.  A makeup event on August 5 and the season finale August 12 on Tawakoni out of the state park.  The ministry of the month will be Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship ministry.  I hope to see you there!

For those teams that continue to be a part on this ministry outreach and to those that have just joined us, I want to say thank you so very much.   Without you we could not accomplish our mission.  We do our very best to provide the best payback and amenities possible with the funding and sponsorship we have available.  Those who fish with us are accomplishing much more than just having the chance to win a monetary reward.  For our work is eternal.  Each time you fish a C.A.B.A. monthly or weekly event you allow us to give to ministries that are doing what the Lord has called them to do.  Without our support they would be hindered in their ministry outreach!  Each time you fish a weekly C.A.B.A. event you help support this ministry, which in turn allows us to do what God has called us to do.
