* TEAM DESCRIPTION & POINTS INFORMATION *

$25.00 membership per person is required for all CHAMPIONSHIP qualifying events

A. Team captain will represent the team in all official C.A.B.A. discussions and actions.

B. Team captain will be responsible for weighing fish.

C. The designated team captain will remain team captain for the entire tournament season as long as the team remains in tact.  In the event the designated team captain is unable to fish a particular event, the remaining team member will represent the team for that event only.

D. In the event an existing team should split, each team member must decide between themselves how their accumulated points will be handled and the team captain must notify tournament director of same.  This decision will be final.

E. A team will be allowed to split until May 30 of each tournament season (all divisions).  Team partner changes will be allowed after May 30 only in the event of severe accident, illness, death or an unavoidable/unexpected commitment which would prevent the individual in question from finishing the season.

F. If a team member is unable to fish an event during the regular tournament season, another individual will be allowed to substitute for that team, but the substitute must become a member of C.A.B.A. prior to fishing.  No more than 3 substitutions per team in each Tri-Lake & Roadrunner qualifying divisions or 8 substitutions per team in each Weekly qualifying division will be allowed during the regular tournament season.

G. Substitutions will not be allowed for any team that qualifies to compete in the Team CHAMPIONSHIP or Top 50 Team Invitational except in the event of accident, illness, death in a team members immediate family or an unavoidable/unexpected commitment.  For a substitution to be allowed, tournament director MUST be notified no later than the Monday prior to the Team CHAMPIONSHIP or Top 50 Team Invitational should any of these situations occur.

H. Those individuals who choose to fish both the monthly and weekly events with different partners will be required to choose among themselves how they will pair up to compete in the CHAMPIONSHIP  or Top 50 Team Invitational should their respective teams qualify.  Should this specific situation arise, after this decision has been made, the remaining partner will be required to fish the CHAMPIONSHIP or Top 50 Team Invitational alone.

 CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION & POINT DISTRIBUTION

 C.A.B.A. has 4 qualifying divisions.  1. Monthly - Tri-Lake; 2. Monthly - Roadrunner; 3. Ray Hubbard weekly Monday night; 4. Lavon weekly Thursday night.  Qualification for the CHAMPIONSHIP will be determined as follows:  1.  Any team that fishes all events in their respective qualifying division will automatically qualify for their CHAMPIONSHIP.  2. The top 50% point leaders  after 6  Tri-Lake or Roadrunner events individually, or 18 weekly events (both Ray Hubbard or Lavon individually) that have fished at least 4 of 6 (Tri-Lake or Roadrunner events individually)  or 12 of 18 weekly events (after those teams from option 1 have been removed) will qualify for their CHAMPIONSHIP.  3.  (After those teams from options 1 & 2 have been removed) up to 5 wildcard teams from each of the 4 divisions will also qualify, provided each team has fished the required number of events from their respective division.  The top 5 point finishers after the final event of each qualifying division will determine wild card status.  No points may be transferred from one team to another or from one division to another.  An entry fee of $150.00 per team (monthly & weekly divisions will be required to compete in the CHAMPIONSHIP.  For CHAMPIONSHIP participation, team members must be the same as their respective qualifying division unless a substitution is allowed.

 THE FOLLOWING POINT SYSTEM WILL APPLY TO ALL C.A.B.A. TEAM EVENTS

CHAMPIONSHIP qualification will be based on a points and pounds format

1st place team in each qualifying event will receive 100 points + their stringer weight.  2nd place team will receive 99 points + their stringer weight, and so on.  Points will drop by 1 for each place through the last team to weigh fish.  Any team that participates in an event but does not weigh fish, will receive show points equivalent to 1 point less than the last team to weigh fish.
